Unconditional Valentines
Our Wayshower, Jesus, said in essence, it's easy to send Valentines to your friends; the more difficult ones to send are those for your "enemies."
Of course, I'm paraphrasing but you get my drift. We must work at loving those whom we least want to. Rumi wrote, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there."
What if each one of "those" Valentines helped us heal? What if that "stretch" (and it is a stretch), brought "Heaven" a little closer to all of us? Let's come together on this Valentine's Sunday to see what we might each do to make it so.
We hope you will join us this Sunday on Zoom at 5 p.m. as we come together in community.

Beloved Unity Community,
We are journeying with the Twelve Powers as a community this year. We began our journey with the power of Faith last month – always a good quality / power to begin any new journey with. This month we are opening to the power of Divine Love. The disciple connected with this power is John. It is said that this is the disciple Jesus loved the most. The color is pink and the location of this energy center to focus on is our heart center.
I am continuing to reread Mark 2:1-12 for more insight. I know I want to live in that Capernaum consciousness in the scripture that Jesus was in. If you remember it is a place of shelter of comfort, compassion and forgiveness. It will bring an inner conviction of the abiding compassion and restoring power of Being, a place in consciousness where we are ready to see in a new way. When one enters this state of consciousness a healing virtually pours out of the soul and transforms all discord to harmony.
The following are some questions that were posed this last Sunday that I think are important ones for us to lean into this month, maybe use for journaling, and to check in with ourselves - making sure we are in integrity with.
1.    What if the meaning of life for each one of us is solely to increase the love within us. What if the growth of love will contribute more than any other force to establish heaven on earth. Is there a place in your life that you are not in alignment with this Divine Love?
2.    What if every person comes into our lives for the soul reason of opening us and them to love a little fuller. Is there someone in your life that this thought might help you reframe your experience with them and then be able to return to that Capernaum consciousness?
3.    What about the places we experience hatred, anger, judgment, or hurt. Would it help to reframe those thoughts as just small consciousness wanting to be called higher in love?
Unity’s 5th principle is that it isn’t enough to know our teachings. We must be vigilant about leaning into and living them in all our experiences and relationships. In this way we can raise the roof in our consciousness of opening us and possibly to love a little fuller?
I know I am already settling into working with these ideas this month. I hope you will join me in this journey of living in our Capernaum consciousness.
Unity Love Blessings coming your way,
Rev. Jesse
P.S. Here is the quote that some of you asked for by L.R. Knost
"Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world.
All things break. And all things can be mended
Not with time, as they say, but with intention.
So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally.
The broken world waits in darkness for the light love that is you."
