Canines For Kids

At Children’s, some of our most popular caretakers are known for their warm, furry hugs. Our facility dogs are specially trained to provide animal-assisted therapy to our patients. Our dogs not only give love and comfort, they also aid clinical teams in their goals of providing treatment to kids.

"Backpack 2 School Bash"

This month we are supporting the Union County Back to School Bash. The goal of the B2SB is to bring families and community together in a fun way before school starts back.  Our desire is that going back to school should be a time of peace and not stress.  In order to help relieve the financial burden that often comes with returning to school, the community of Union County has come together to provide a day for families, friends, free backpacks, school supplies, lunch, and fun.

When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their welfare, they are usually brought to the Department of Children’s Services Offices to await placement. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing.
Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets.
